Things to do this weekend in the District
- H Street Festival is one of the most anticipated and highly attended single day festivals in Washington D.C. The festival is 11 blocks long and has 14 staging areas that are diversely themed and programmed to target the different segments of audiences. The staging areas feature music of different genres, dance, youth based performances, interactive children’s program, fashion, heritage arts, poetry and many more.

2. Oktoberfest – The German themed beer garden’s favorite and largest event of the year will feature four weekends chock-full of German cuisine, live bands, Bavarian games, DJ parties, and of course lots of beer! It will begin Friday, September 16th with the traditional “Tapping of the Keg” with special guests Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen, Maura Brophy, President and CEO of the NoMa Business Improvement District. The annual festival will conclude on Sunday, October 9th.

3. Maryland Corn Maze 2022 – Explore 8 acres of a Jurassic Corn Maze, hayrides, pumpkins, corn pits, pony rides, petting farm, ziplines, slingshots, straw pyramids, jumping pillows and so much more. Enjoy all your favorite festival treats including fresh dipped corn dogs, kettle corn, and snow balls. The Maryland Corn Maze is open from September 17 through November 6. Hours of operation are Saturdays and Sundays 10:00-7 PM

9. Capital Chill Rocks Oktoberfest @ Dacha Navy Yard! Come to Dacha Navy Yard in the shadow of Nats Park for their annual Oktoberfest celebration! Capital Chill plays from 6-9pm but go early to check out the other festivities!
10. Culture Pop, a celebration of the cultures and artistry of our community. Immerse yourself in a 3-week art exhibition curated by No Kings Collective, featuring a live-art exhibit with a zig-zag art wall up to 10 feet in height and spanning over 100 feet in length through Nordstrom Center Court. View local artists like Juan Pineda, Christina Wing Chow, Jamilla Okubo, Aniekan Udofia and many more live painting a mural that is inspired by each of their unique backgrounds and stories. In addition to the art installation, enjoy exciting insta-moments, activations and events.
