Top Travel Tips: Packing Guide

  1. Stay organized and make a list. List everything you’ll need for your trip. You’ll avoid overpacking and have a record of everything you’ve packed.

2. Pack light. Avoid packing your bulky jacket or favorite combat boots unless you going somewhere cold.

3. Roll don’t fold! This is actually a great space saving way to pack.

4. Use your footwear to help you pack. Stuff your footwear with small clothes.

5. Pack dual-purpose garments. Pick timeless versatile pieces that can be worn together and changed.

6. Pack based on outfit order. I always pack the first outfit I am going to wear on top, so as soon as I land, I shower, dress and head to the nearest bar.

7. Know your airline’s baggage-fee policy. This might be the MOST important tip because the policies are always changing. For example; many of the airlines don’t give 1 free checked bag for international flight anymore, crazy!

8. Know TSA’s Liquids Rule! It is hard to believe but some people still try to bring a huge jar of peanut butter or hairspray through the airport checkpoint, that’s a no dawg.

9. Bring empty bags! That’s right, I always stuff a few empty plastic bags for dirty clothes or a empty tote for my souvenirs.

10. Keep important items in your carry-on. You never know if you bags miss the connecting flight you don’t want to be without medication or be worrying about your super valuable items.
