So Tomorrow is March 14, 2019 and to the foodies and math geeks of the world that means 3.14 or Pi day! Yayyyyy to National Pie Day! Question is are you thinking of eating pizza pie or the sweet flaky slice of dessert heaven? Here are 6 places in the DMV area where you can get your pie on pizza and dessert!
1. Food: Bayou BakeryDate: Thursday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.Location: 1515 N. Courthouse Rd Arlington, VA 22201More Details: Bayou Bakery is having special #PiDay deal: four-inch individual pies exclusive for $5 each, options include: chocolate pecan, lemon icebox, Virginia peanut, and chocolate pecan. Slices of larger pies are $3.14 each. (Bayou Bakery, 7 a.m.-7 p.m., $3.14 per pie slice, $5 per mini pie)
2. Food: One of my favorite places to eat! Blaze Pizza has $3.14 pizza when you order in-restaurant.
3. Food: I love a good cause, why not donate a pizza with Veloce! They are hosting a fundraising drive for DC Central Kitchen. On Pi Day pay only $3.14 for the Veloce pizza (regularly priced at $6): a 10-inch personal pizza made with marinara sauce and mozzarella on a white crust. However, for every customer that chooses to pay $6 instead of $3.14, Veloce will donate a pizza to DC Central Kitchen and deliver all donated pizzas on March 15. Now that Pi-a-rrific!
4. Booze: Pizzeria Paradiso locations will offer a $3.14 math-themed draft beer when you buy one of their pizzas. Each location will serve a different beer: Terrapin Rye Cubed will be available at Old Town, BFM (SqRt) 225 at Georgetown, and Heavy Seas Double Cannon at Dupont Circle.
5. Event: A Guided Pairing: Pie & Beer More Details: Dangerously Delicious Pies is serving up a Pi Day happy hour. Who doesn’t like the sound of that! A piece of pie for $3.14, as well as drink specials at the bar all night and a free show with local bands, including Allthebestkids.
