 3. Ugly Sweater Parties! This is one of the newest trends for holiday season but super fun. I love going to ugly sweater parties.

4. Places to Eat on Christmas Day: There are always a few places that tend to stay open to provide the holiday drifters and nomad a place to eat. Here’s are 3 spots that will be open on Christmas Day!

  •  Ambar in Clarendon, Fogo de Chao in Tyson’s Corner, TTT Clarendon, Fyve at the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City
  • Not many restaurants are open in DC proper this year due to Covid-19 closure. Check out some open restaurants on my favorite site Eater.
  • With COVID-19 at every turn, stay homing has been the theme for 2020. Just because you stay home doesn’t mean you have to miss out on some delicious meals from your favorite restaurant. This is called “Christmas on the Go” Check out a few of these places for a la carte Christmas menu:
  •  A D.C staple to the rescue, they have a takeout menu option for Christmas: Founding Farmers
  •  Chef Claudio Pirollo’s Palisades restaurant features a Xmas to go menu: including French staples like foie gras terrine, roasted capon with truffle potatoes, and a chestnut tart (one for $69.95, two for $39.95, four for $259.95), check out their three-course takeout menu.

I would also recommend calling your favorite restaurant to see what they offer.

 5. Still in the holiday spirit after the 25th there are events throughout the city. Post-Christmas festivities:
