Happy St. Patrick’s Day: Irish for one day?

Today is one of my favorite holidays! You may not be of Irish blood but every enjoys great beer or whiskey or both! There are many ways to celebrate this holidays check out 5 places in the DC area you get eat drink and be merry!

1. First spot D.C. favorite Irish Bar! Fado Orish Pub I always make it my business to hit this place up when I’m in Chinatown DC but today this place is definitely the place to be!

Event: Sunday, March 17th ~ St Patrick’s Day Time: Pub opens at 10 am. Details: Live Music from 2 p – 6 pm with Ice Wagon Flu and from 8 pm til Midnight Lloyd Dobler Effect. 21+ and $10 cover starts at 1 pm.
2. Not everyone like green beers but everyone can get with free whiskey! Rosebar Sunday Day Party in recognition of St Patrick’s Day.

3. At Shaw’s Tavern, live music starts at 3 p.m. while dancers from the Boyle School of Irish dance perform at 6:30 p.m. The bar is also offering drink specials, including $6 Guinness and $5 Jameson shots.

5. No babysitter? Well drag the kids to the Kennedy Center dor their family friendly St. Patrick’s Day Celebration! (Just hide a flask of whiskey in your bag or pocket🤣)

The Washington Chorus and their Irish conductor Christopher Bell bring the music of the Irish to the Kennedy Center. Families can enjoy an Irish band, fiddlers, dancers, pipe players, and choral arrangements of Irish classics in a one-of-a-kind concert.
