It is day 4 of the Capital Region’s Summer Restaurant Week hosted by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), the event started Monday, August 17th and will go until Sunday, August 30th. At this point, DC’s food scene is well-known and highly awarded – here’s your chance to tour a variety of restaurants and eateries.
During the 2020 Restaurant Week, diners will have the opportunity to try 250 eateries across the DMV region with 3-course lunches for $22, 3-course dinners for $35 or if you love a good brunch, that’s $22 as well. Some places even offer sweeter deals! Nevertheless, every penny will be worth it as you taste your way through one of the most celebrated food scenes.
Here are some additional tips, advice and information, that will help you EAT DC:
- First and foremost be mindful we are still under a health pandemic, many eateries have changed their normal business hours and are still requiring masks and practicing social distancing procedures. My suggestion is to make a 5 min phone call prior to going to confer any questions you may have.
- A bit of good news: This year’s restaurant week lasts for two weeks instead of one, thanks Covid-19.
- The prix-fixe menus come with either a cocktail or wine pairing. However, be careful some excursions or rules may apply.
- Also new because of Covid-19, many restaurants are offer RW Prix-fixe menu options to go!
- RAMW has a Restaurant Week Diner Rewards Program, where you can receive exclusive updates on restaurant deals, events and promotions throughout the year when you sign up. Members are automatically entered to win special Restaurant Week giveaways, including gift cards, cookbooks and more!
What restaurants are you trying to go to? Will you be focusing in on higher end eateries, new places or never tried before food dishes?
Either way: “DINE OUT. TAKE OUT. EAT UP.”
