Vacation Time: Dubai

I wanted to recap a few trips that I did pre-City Vibes blog. No point in missing out on a great blog post because it had last year! The funny thing about the United Arab Emirates or UAE is that I’ve been there a couple of times. The first time I went I had the worse time ever! If you want to here more on that story read: The worst vacation I ever had was with a Meetup Travel Group!

Anyways, long story short, my sister and I were convinced we had to do Dubai over again! We called it “Dubai Redo” and we had the perfect occasion; my sister’s 30th birthday. It also helped that she moved to Abu Dhabi in Fall 2017 so also we had to do was meet her there!

I also love exploring a city the second time around, it’s like watching a really good movie more than once, you catch tons of amazing things that you missed the first time. However, I do have a travel rule, I don’t really visit a city more than 3 times, there’s just so many places on my “to-go” list!

Back to Dubai: The city was just as magical as I remembered, tall buildings that decorate the skyline. A seamless flow of luxury, Arabian influences and architectural wonderment. Dubai is home to the world tallest buildings, the Burj Khali which is a must-visit when you go. We spent time in the glamorous Dubai mall and wandered the Downtown Dubai area. You have to make sure to catch the fountain’s music and light show which helps to set the mood of the evening. Dinner along the Emaar Boulevard, a chic cafe scene and back to the hotel to get primed and pretty for the birthday festivities.

The week was jammed-packed with everything thing you should do when in Dubai (check out my blog post: Everything you should do and don’t when in Dubai). That’s the beauty of visiting a destination more than once you can avoid any travel mishaps and tourist traps.

My sister’s birthday plans were organized and epic! Private Yacht from the Dubai Marina, VIP party session at Nikki Beach Dubai and an all-night dance session in Abu Dhabi, where my sister resides, at the stylish Sax Lounge & Club, Le Royal Méridien Abu Dhabi. We even squeezed in a visit to the must-visit, The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the world’s largest mosques.

The Dubai remix was a success! It is definitely on my top ten favorite places to go; have you ever been to the U.A.E?
