Best Travel Apps

Finding the best hotels, flights and vacation deals can be hard but necessary. There are tons of travel apps to help you book and organize all your travel needs. From flight deals, organizing trip details to finding the best airport lounge. We have created a list of our TOP TRAVEL APPs every traveler should use! You’re welcome.

  1. Skyscanner: This is a great app to use for finding cheap flights. The mobile app searches millions of flights from over 1,200 sources and then gives you the best options available (whether it’s the cheapest route, or the easiest one). There’s a chart feature that lets you look at the cheapest days or months to fly to your destination and sends you notification of price changes.

2. Hotel Tonight: Looking for a hotel quickly or for some last-ditch deals, this is the app for you. Hotel tonight features last-minute discounts on empty hotel rooms. It’s incredibly easy to use, and it doesn’t take long to reserve a room. I have use this app so many times when going on a last minute weekend trip!

3. Google Maps: Yes, this many seem obvious because you use google maps in your everyday life but are you using this app to its full potential. You can map locations, get several different types of directions (walking, driving, public transportation, ride-hailing services and more) and see real-time traffic, train/subway, and hotspots busyness. Did you know you can make restaurant reservations, save your favorite spots under organized lists, and write reviews? The best part: if you download specific city or area maps ahead of time, you’ll be able to use the app offline even without internet. This SAVED us when wandering around Barcelona, Spain.

4. Priority Pass: This app offers access to more than 1,300 lounges worldwide and provides meal vouchers at select airport restaurants across the world. So if you have a long layover this app can be your best friend. I have my membership with Chase Sapphire Reserve however, several credit cards offer Priority Pass memberships. Otherwise, you can sign up separately and pay an annual fee to be a member and sometimes a fee to enter each lounge. To use the Priority Pass app, enter the airport name or airport code that you’re in and Priority Pass will pull up the lounges or restaurants that you have access to, including photos, hours, amenities, and specific location information.

5. Kayak: This app is my preferred method for finding cheap flights. I just love the cleanliness of the app, simple to use and highly functional. Kayak is a comprehensive travel search engine helping you find not only flights, but also hotels and rental cars. There’s also so many additional features: Price Alerts which lets you track prices on flights and hotels. Trips organizes all your travel information into an itinerary that you can edit and add to build out your entire vacation. Explore will show you everywhere you can fly to with however much you want to spend. Plus, other features like Flex Search, Private Deals and my favorite Price Forecast, so you know when to book or wait for a flight.
