2020 vs. Covid-19 aka “La Rona”

Who knew at the beginning of 2020 all our travel plans and big dreams were about to be cancelled? In true “cancel culture” mania as of April the whole year of 2020 is void, invalid, annulled!

We have seen the Coronavirus pandemic take over the world, with no end in sight. Mostly every country is in some form of lockdown and pretty much our daily lives were turned upside down overnight. Schools, offices, churches, gyms, salons and all other nonessential businesses have closed. Don’t even think about traveling, nightclubbing, hanging out at bars and eating out at restaurants. The world is in basic survival mode.

Remember to follow the CDC guidelines to stay safe during La Rona Pandemic:

  • Wear a mask to keep your nose and mouth covered when in public settings.
  • Avoid close contact by staying at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from anyone who is not from your household.
  • Wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer (with at least 60% alcohol).
  • Avoid contact with anyone who is sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

We are all in this together! Although it may be a scary time, the human race is very resilient and I am sure we will get through this the best we can! Stay tuned how for weekly updates on the corona virus and how it is affecting the Washington DC Metro Area and traveling.
